Audio Transfer FAQs
What type of audio recordings can Cintrex digitize and convert to CD or other digital file formats?
We can digitize and convert audio recordings from LP records, audio cassette tapes and open reel-to-reel tapes.
What service is performed during Audio Transfer?
The content is played, captured, digitized, and transferred to CD media, or to .mp3 and/or .wav files formats. The basic transfer will keep the existing tracks intact and label the tracks as 1, 2, 3, etc. We offer an optional service of labeling tracks with titles for $5 per track label.
How good is the sound quality of the transfer? Can you enhance or sweeten the sound?
The digitized sound will match the sound condition of the original media. If the sound is still good, then it will sound just as good in the transfer to a new format. We offer some sound enhancement, but we are limited by how much we can charge for the service and it still be affordable. We use tools in Adobe and Apple software to enhance the sound quality, such as volume, pitch, and speed of the presented sound to improve it for the listener.
Does Cintrex repair cassette tapes, reel-to-reel tapes, and records?
We can repair damaged segments of cassette tapes and reel-to-reel tapes, and we clean LP records before transfer.
How much does the Audio Transfer Service cost?
Retail rates are $45 per LP Record and Cassette tape. We offer discounts of 15% on quantities of 10 or more. Audio reel-to-reel pricing varies depending upon length of audio tape and original recording speed. Please see the Audio Estimator for the possible price ranges in an estimate for your customer.
