Disc Back-up Service for your mobile phone or tablet's videos and photos to M-DISC DVD or Blu-ray M-DISC. The M-Disc has up a 1,000 year shelf life, and provides an excellent backup for the media files on your mobile device and your mobile device's supporting cloud service.
We can backup your device's collection via web download links from the device's existing cloud service, or transfer them off the device's SD card. If you prefer to keep your SD card, and do not have an existing Cloud service, we suggest utilizing Cintrex's LightJar service (this will require you signing up for a month-to-month subscription plan, that you cancel before the end of the first month and avoid any credit card charges).
Available options for backup - Cintrex offers the following options for backing up your mobile devices videos and photos:
- Data Disc - we offer either the M-Disc DVD data disc (holds 4.7GB of data) or M-Disc Blu-ray data disc (25GB storage); your digital files are placed on the storage disc; there is no reformatting of content
- Video DVD - plays up to 2 hours of movies or image slideshows; video DVD-Rs can be played in any standalone DVD or Blu-ray player, or computer DVD disc drive.
- Video Blu-ray Disc - plays up 3.5 hours of high definition video; plays only in Blu-ray players or computers with Blu-ray drive.
Pricing - $25 for up to 25GB of content. Additional storage options available. If wanting a video DVD, the extra cost is $25 for each video DVD. If wanting a video Blu-ray Disc to show high defintion movies in a Blu-ray player, the extra cost is $35 per Blu-ray Disc. Also, shipping and handling charges apply on orders less than $100.
How it works: Submittal of your order to Cintrex is a two-step process - entering the order in our online store and copying the assigned order number, and then emailing us the links to shared collections with the order number pasted in the email's subject line. The email should be sent to order-entry@cintrexav.com.
Submitting your online order (here):
- Select the backup option; most people only need the 25GB option; and if incorrect, we will notify you after receiving your files if a larger option is necessary. We will not start the order until given your approval.
- If desired, pick a video disc option
- Tell us what to label the discs
- Add comments as necessary
- Click "Add to Cart"
- Click "Checkout"
- Enter appropriate personal information as requested to finish the order process and
- Submit your order
- Record or save the assigned Order Number
- We do not bill your credit card until your order is completed and we are ready to return the Blu-ray Disc or LTO tape to you.
After order submittal:
- Email us at order-entry@cintrexav.com with the newly assigned order number in the subject line, and links to your cloud collections (Dropbox, iCloud, LightJar, etc).
- Make sure in your email with the shared collections that you tell us what to name each collection, and include your online store order number (from above)
- If you do not have a Cloud service, please subscribe to LightJar's 10GB plan (first month is free) on a monthly subscription basis, and upload your devices video into LightJar, and share their collection with us. LightJar is at www.lightjar.com.
- Or use UPS to send us your SD card. A UPS label becomes available at order checkout.
With receipt of your order and your emailed links to your collections, Cintrex will place a copy of all content from your downloaded collections onto the appropriate archive media: and ship the discs or tape to the subscriber for safekeeping. Future retrieval of the content is possible with the appropriate disc media reader, such as a computer with a disc drive, or DVD or Blu-ray standalone player, or external Blu-ray drive connected to your computer.
Turnaround is 1 to 2 weeks after receipt of your order.
