Back-up your media items stored in Cloud collections onto Blu-ray M-DISC, SSD hard drive, or LTO Tape for additional redundancy protection of important files.

Digital files backed up to Blu-ray Disc, SSD Media or LTO tape. Pricing depends on the type of media chosen for cloud backup. Pricing includes our services and selected media. Single layer Blu-ray M-Discs (25GB capacity) are $35. Triple layer Blu-ray M-Discs (100GB capacity) are $100. 500GB SSD external hard drives are $150. 2TB SSD external hard drives are $250. LTO-8 tapes (12TB capacity) are $300.

Shelf life of available media for this service (assuming it is NOT used on a regular basis, but exists mainly as backup): M-Discs - greater than 100 years; SSD hard drives - greater than 10 years; and LTO-8 tapes - 30 years. All are excellent backup options, used by corporations and serious-minded archivists for long term backup of important files.

How it works: Submittal of your order to Cintrex is a two-step process - entering the order in our online store and copying the assigned order number, and then emailing us the links to shared collections with the order number pasted in the email's subject line. The email should be sent to order-entry@cintrexav.com.

After order submittal:

Email us at order-entry@cintrexav.com with the newly assigned order number in the subject line, and links to your cloud collections (Dropbox, iCloud, LightJar, etc).
Make sure in your email with the shared collections that you tell us what to name each collection, and include your online store order number (from above)

With receipt of your order and your emailed links to your collections, Cintrex will place a copy of all content from your downloaded collections onto the selected archive media: and ship the discs or tape to the subscriber for safekeeping. Future retrieval of the content is possible with the appropriate media reader, an LG Blu-ray drive for the Blu-ray M-DISC, or a LTO-8 tape drive from DELL, HP, IBM, Quantum, and others. Local area vendors will also have the appropriate media readers.

Turnaround is 1 to 2 weeks after receipt of your order.

Restoration service for video content recovery from previous generation LTO tapes - services for LTFS formatted LTO Tapes, and for earlier generation LTO tapes in certain, select formats.

Pricing is $25.00 per TB for LTFS formatted tapes, and $50 per TB for LTO tapes written in TAR, BRU-PE, HPE, Backup Exec, or Arcserve.

How it Works

Place your order in our web online store, and receive a link to print off a UPS label for free shipping into Cintrex. Include in the package your LTO tapes and your hard-drive into which we will place the tape's restored contents. We can also return the restored files via your preferred cloud storage service.
Please provide documentation on job scope - specify your expected outcome, and how you want the restored video files organized on your hard-drive repository or specified cloud storage account. If possible, please include the tape catalog, so we have something to compare restored contents to your database records.
Average turnaround within our labs for this service is 1 to 2 days for each 4TB of video being restored. This does not include shipment transit time.
Restoration process includes inventory of contents upon receipt into our lab, review of customer provided instructions, testing of LTO tape formatting for compatibility with our systems, restoration of video files, organization of files onto hard-drive repository, matching source and destination files, cataloging contents and capturing screen shots of tape and hard-drive file layouts.
You receive back the LTO tape(s) along with the hard-drive repository containing the recovered video files.
Benefit of the Service: Restoration of tape contents for re-purposing and backup purposes.

Turnkey service for archiving video content onto LTO tapes - support for LTO-5, LTO-6, LTO-7, and LTO-8. Ideal for the completed video project that needs to be backed up, and placed in storage on the chance that the content might be needed again in the future. Overall, the archiving of video content represents the least expensive part of any video project, and yet it can be indispensable in certain situations. LTO tape backup is inexpensive insurance against possible loss of one-of-a-kind content and provides peace of mind!

We can receive your digital files via shipment of your hard-drive(s) into Cintrex, or via your preferred Web transport service. UPS shipping is free. There is an option to add insurance for your inbound shipment.

Receive back from us your original storage media (if you sent in a hard-drive) and an archive copy of your digital files on your specified LTO tape format. One (1) LTO-8tape can store up to 12TB of video files. LTO tapes have a 30 year shelf life. Checksum and metadata reports on the completed project are available in CSV, PDF, and XML formats, and can be stored on the destination tape and or as a standalone file returned via the web.

Labeling LTO tapes can be customized for your project, such as, barcode labeling with a specific range in an alpha-numeric sequence.

Pricing:

The archive rate is $50 per TB. Minimum order is for 3 TB. Price includes content organization, barcodes, tape media, and Free round-trip UPS Ground shipping on orders valued at $100 or more.

Inbound Transport Options for your digital content

Free UPS - free roundtrip shipment of your hard-drives into Cintrex and back to your premise (on orders valued at $100 or more). If needed, there is an option for adding insurance coverage via UPS on inbound shipments.
Inbound via Your Cloud Service - We can accept file transfers via your own web delivery services, bypassing inbound UPS shipment into our lab. Limitations may apply regarding how much content we accept each day onto our system hard-drives.

How it Works

Safe Transport of your video assets - With your order in our web store, the process begins with shipment of your video files (assets) into Cintrex. It is best practice to always have a duplicate copy of these video files in separate storage, as backup protection against possible loss or damage in shipment. After placing an order in our web store, you will receive a URL link and instructions to print off a UPS label for attachment to package shipment into Cintrex AV. Insurance coverage can be added to your shipment.
Alternative transport via Cloud/Web transport services - Use your preferred web or cloud based File Sharing/Transport service.
We Follow Your Instructions - Please provide documentation on job scope - specifying yourexpected outcomes, naming conventions, organization, and informationtagging of video files to be archived.
Tape Formats - We archive digital video and image content onto LTO tapes (gen 5, 6, 7, and 8) using LTFS format commands from either myLTO (Imagine Products) or YoYotta LTFS. Both formats provide inter-exchangeability between computers and tape drive platforms.
Turnaround - Average turnaround within our labs for this service is 1 day foreach 4TB of video being archived. This does not include shipmenttransit time.

Archive to M-Disc

Save your video library and other important digital images and documents to DVD or Blu-ray M-Disc.

Digital files backed up to Blu-ray Disc. The minimum order is $10 (plus shipping), the equivalent of backing up 10GB. Estimate the number of GB to place on a DVD or Blu-ray M-Disc, and enter this number in the Quantity Box. We will consolidate the transfer of digital files to the fewest number of discs needed. Organization of files will be done according to customer instruction.

If the number of GBs is greater than your estimate, we will contact you with the total number of GBs and wait for your instructions before finishing the project. We do not collect your money until your job is complete and ready for return shipment.

We can receive your digital content via web file transfer or UPS package shipment. If you prefer to send us your files via the web, we will send you a link to an online Cintrex AV account into which you can upload your data files and instructions. We will also accommodate other forms for file transfer, accommodating your preferred transfer method. After order submittal and payment, you will also receive a link to a UPS label generator if you want to mail a package into Cintrex with original content. UPS shipping both ways is free on orders valued at $100 or more. The UPS shipping & handling charge is $10 on orders of $50 or more, and S&H is $25 on orders less than $50 in value.

Organization of content, and labeling the disc - Cintrex will follow your direction for file organization and labeling the DVD or Blu-ray M-Disc. Please include your instructions in the comments field, or with additional notes in the UPS package or file uploads.

All M-Disc versions are rated to retain stored information up to 1,000 years. One DVD M-Disc can hold 4.7GB of information. Blu-ray Disc versions include Blu-ray M-DISC (25GB), Dual Layer (DL) Blu-ray M-DISC (50GB storage), and triple layer 100 GB discs.
